The David Clark company bid unsuccessfully on the contract to provide the Mercury pressure suit. The subsequently were awarded the contract for the Gemini pressure suits, the Apollo "Snoopy Cap" communications carrier, and the current Space Shuttle ACES (Advanced Crew Escape Suits).
