David is one of the world's pre-eminent space modelers, he has won the Best Space or Science Fiction award several times with real space models at the IPMS/USA National Convention. He is one of the IPMS/USA National Convention space cadets.
He is also well known for his engineering drawings of space vehicles and launchers. His 1:12 scale drawings of the Mercury Spacecraft were used extensively in developing the Atomic City Mercury Spacecraft kit.
