We need you!

This web site works best if more people contribute.

The more people who contribute the better off we all will be. It's not that hard to get started, if you haven't used a mediawiki site before, you might want to start with the introduction or the somewhat longer Tutorial. More help and tutorial articles are being added over time.

How you can help

Ask questions

Have you got a question about Project Mercury that you'd like to get answered here? The best place to do that is our community questions page

Add what you know

If you are visiting here, it's not unlikely that you know a thing or two about the subject matter. Here's what you can do to share that knowledge.

Provide feedback

If you see something on an article page here that you particularly like or dislike, or find suspicious. You can help by using the discussion page associated with the article itself.

Make corrections

If you see something which you are pretty sure is wrong, or you know something which is missing from an article, then either add it to the discussion page, or better yet edit the page. Don't worry you can't hurt anything. We keep backups of everything and can always revert articles to previous versions.

Fill in the blanks

Many articles are Category:stubs which are waiting for someone to tackle them. You will likely run across these in the natural course of exploring the website. You might want to look for the RixWiki:most wanted articles and pick one to work on.

Write new articles

Perhaps you see the need to add a new article. See starting a new page

Keep the place looking nice

For all of the good properties of wiki websites which come from allowing users to freely contribute, there is one drawback. Some miscreants will occasionally make offensive or non-productive changes. This vandalism can be easily corrected once it's found. But the more well-intentioned users who are looking for it and know how to report it or change it, the less likely any given such incident will remain. If you'd like to join the RixWiki "community watch" program, take a look at the article on vandalism
