Why this site get's vandalized
This is an annoyance with wiki websites. The philosophy is to allow anyone to contribute to the site.
Unfortunately some people "contribute" by vandalizing the site. Often there is an economic motive. As the site becomes more popular, it becomes a target for wiki-spammers who are trying to increase the google page rank of their sites by inserting links to their sites.
That's why sometimes articles get overwritten with links to poker, viagra or other sites.
Such damage can be easily rolled back because the wiki software keeps a revision tree of all articles, including who did each edit. I try to keep an eye out for such changes and fix them as soon as I see them, and block the ip addresses of the malefactors.
