The Wikipedia is a huge, on-line encyclopaedia which is under constant, collaborative development by a large community of contributors. Including links to the wikipedia in articles on RixWiki is encouraged. The article Mercury development chronology contains links to the Wikipedia for each date to provide a perspective on what was happening at the time of events in Project Mercury.
To link to an article in the Wikipedia prefix the article name with Wikipedia, for example [[Wikipedia:Project Mercury]] produces a link to the article on "Project Mercury" in the Wikipedia and will appear like this Wikipedia:Project Mercury
The Wikipedia uses the same software as is used on RixWiki, so if you have learned how to contribute to RixWiki, you have also learned how to contribute to the Wikipedia.
The Wiktionary is a sister project to the Wikipedia providing a Wikipedia:dictionary. Linking to the Wiktionary is as easy as linking to the Wikipedia [[Wiktionary:orbit]] produces a link to the Wiktionary definition of "orbit."
