Arrangement

Support Couch

The couch provided support for the astronaut during the flight. It underwent modification over the course of the program to reduce weight and to improve the comfort of the astronaut. For Primate flights a primate couch was installed instead of the astronaut couch. In some unmanned flights a crew simulator was installed in place of the astronaut couch.
