Sigma 7 window details

Peter Johnson provided these pictures via the previous version of this web site. He says:
I've attached three images of Sigma 7's window. Unfortunately a seam in the plexiglas cover is directly over the window. The red area at the forward end of the window appears to be a sealing compound applied to the metal. Note in image 3 that the left side of the tinted sun shade is visible on the inside of the window.
I wonder how long it will take for the "This equipment built for NASA by McDonnell Douglas" credit to be changed to "Boeing"?
The "preflight" image is from the JSC website, showing Schirra being inserted into the capsule. The inner sun shade is also closed in this photo.
