This capsule was unflown. It was used as a testbed for capsule modifications throughout the program.
Disposition
Displayed at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson, Kansas
This may be the only Mercury spacecraft which is displayed without some form of plexiglass covering.

Chronology
- 8 March 1961
- Spacecraft 10 delivered to the McDonnell altitude test facility
- 16 March 1961
- Spacecraft 10 withdrawn from the flight program and allocated to a ground test simulating orbital flight environmental conditions at the McDonnell plant site.
- 1 November 1961
- The November 1961 Edition of SEDR-104 is published containing this Spacecraft as a test capsule
