Exterior

Fig Ext-1 shows Capsule 5 on museum display. This photo gives an insight into the spacecraft construction as many panels have been removed.

Instrument Panels

The latest edition of SEDR-104 to which I have access which covers this capsule is the December 1959 Edition of SEDR-104. Unless updated in either the February 1961 Edition of SEDR-104 or the August 1961 Edition of SEDR-104 Figs IP-1, IP-2, and IP-3 represent the instrument panels of this capsule.

Spacecraft 5 delivered to the Marshall Space Flight Center for booster compatibility checks
October 11 1960 
Spacecraft 5 shipped to Cape Canaveral
31 January 1961 
MR-2 Launched.
1 February 1961 
The February 1961 Edition of SEDR-104 is published presumably containing Spacecraft 5.
28 June 1961 
Spacecraft 5 in seaworthiness test conducted 65 miles east of Wallops Island.
